SERVING ALL OF FLORIDA · THE PROTECTION PROS
Backflow Testing & Repair
Commercial backflow prevention assembly testing, troubleshooting, repair, and reporting coordination for Florida properties.
Identify the device and water utility
Send the utility test notice, property address, device details, and prior report. Reporting requirements follow the utility serving your property.
Coordinate testing and access
Keep the assembly accessible and discuss any water-service interruption before the visit. Confirm tenant and operating-hour needs when scheduling.
Repair and retest when needed
If testing identifies a problem, review the proposed corrective work and any retest or report updates required by the serving utility.
Backflow testing with the right reporting route
Backflow assemblies help protect drinking water from reverse flow and contamination. Keep the assembly accessible and provide the water utility’s test notice, device information, and previous report when requesting service.
Tampa Water uses SwiftComply
The City of Tampa Water Department requires annual testing for commercial backflow devices and submission of certified results through SwiftComply within seven calendar days of testing. Other utilities may use different schedules or portals. Tell us which utility serves the property so the applicable reporting process can be confirmed.
Reporting help for your property
Need help with a reporting notice? Omega can help review the requested documentation and coordinate reporting follow-up. The Compliance Engine may apply to fire-system records in participating jurisdictions; backflow reports must follow the serving water utility’s instructions.
Local requirements. Property-specific guidance.
A Tampa mailing address does not always mean the City of Tampa is the reviewing authority. The county, city, or fire district serving the property may have its own procedures and local amendments. Send us your service address and any notice so we can help clarify the next step.
